Apologies if that has got you panicking, but any good Christmas Day host will have their conservatory suitably decorated for the occasion if they plan to serve up roast turkey to assembled guests in their extension.
If that’s what you were thinking of doing, there’s still plenty of time to inject a festive feeling into your conservatory.
Balhousie has some brilliantly simple ways you can create the most Christmassy of conservatories…
Take the tree in there
Whether you already have it setup or need to get out of the loft, place your Christmas tree in one of the corners of the conservatory.
If it’s too tall for the structure, go out and get a mini Christmas tree. They don’t cost much and you will still be able to put your presents underneath it, which will make for a spectacular sight on Christmas morning.
Lay the table in preparation for the big day
Once the present-opening is over and done with, the countdown will begin to the Christmas dinner.
Get your guests salivating at the thought of tucking into the turkey by laying out the dinner table in a festive fashion.
A classic white tablecloth with deep red dinner mats would be a good colour scheme, with crackers carefully set out for pulling. Dig out your finest crockery and cutlery for the occasion too.
Fill it full of Christmas tunes
If you don’t have a sound system built into your conservatory ceiling, find a portable speaker and put on your favourite festive tunes.
The very sound of ‘Fairytale of New York’ or ‘Last Christmas’ will be enough to get even the biggest Christmas cynic into the spirit of the day.
You can also use that same speaker for a few party games later on.
If you’d love to spend Christmas in your conservatory, but it’s too cold to do anything in there at this time of the year, you must check out Balhousie’s replacement roofs range. Our solid tiled roofs will weatherproof the extension and turn it into the cosiest of spots.
It’s all gone quiet outside because of us being advised to stay at home at the moment, which will come as some relief to you…
After a long, drawn-out winter, most of us are looking forward to some warmer weather, and that might not be the only reason why some…
We’re only a matter of weeks into 2020, but several home décor trends have already started to emerge, which you should want to know about…
