Elegant and the most opulent surrounds – what more could you want?

Orangeries date back to the 17th Century and were predominantly owned by the richest landowners. Thankfully, they’re far more affordable nowadays and most of the original characteristics of the very first orangeries have been magnificently preserved. Using more brickwork than a conservatory, orangeries subsequently blend into existing buildings pretty effortlessly and many consider them to offer greater comfort than some extensions. An orangery installation will make a huge statement at any home.

There are various ways you can personalise your new orangery from determining the coloured finish to the type of glass incorporated into the frames. Select self-cleaning glass if you don’t fancy cleaning it yourself.

We’re renowned for great customer service...

Design – Come to us with any ideas or requirements you have and we will design your sunroom exactly how you want it. Sometimes it helps if you take some rough measurements before you meet up with one of our consultants so that we can get an initial idea of what we need to do to provide you with a sunroom you will be happy with.

Survey – Don’t worry if you’re unable to measure up for us as a survey will be carried out at the designated spot for your sunroom ahead of the installation.

Planning Permission – Not all sunrooms comply with planning laws and you may have to obtain planning permission before we can proceed building yours. When this is the case, Balhousie will organise the work involved in getting planning consent.

Installation – Every element of the installation will be handled by Balhousie – we will dig the foundations, construct the base and fit the windows, roof and glazing. You will be advised of the timeline to completion.

Build Process – It is less complicated building a sunroom in comparison to erecting alternative forms of home extensions and we make as little fuss as possible while doing it. Our builders just get straight on with the job at hand and will be fully focused on building you a sunroom that you will absolutely adore using.

Finishing – When designing a sunroom it is essential that it is suitably plastered inside, has the right sort of flooring and any electrical fittings are accounted for. We also have experiencing in fitting ceiling fans if you want to keep cool inside. Once we’re done, you will be given a questionnaire to fill in and express your opinion on our work.
