It’s important to us that the requirements of our customers are always fulfilled. The owner of this house approached Balhousie when they needed a conservatory with a specific shape and we were only too happy to help them realise their dream. After visiting the property, we determined that a T-shaped conservatory would be the best solution with characteristics of the Victorian, Edwardian and Gable styles. The ‘T’ formation made sense as it afforded the occupants the chance to use their conservatory for multiple purposes – it has a cosy seating area, dining area and spot for playing snooker.
They loved the look of timber, so they settled on a mahogany finish for the UPVC frames as it is virtually identical to wood, but doesn’t need anywhere near the same amount of maintenance. Because the roof is so vast it is thoroughly supported on the inside of the extension and all you see around you when fortunate enough to be enjoying its spacious is a wall of glass. It is frequently used at night and that was the reasoning behind adding two candle-armed lights to the roof and a pair of chrome shades above the snooker table. To make the design complete, a set of French doors were incorporated into a suitable bit of wall space.
