Facias & Soffits

Fascias or fascia boards are outward facing boards than run under the bottom row of roof tiles. They are the thing to which the guttering is fixed. Soffits are what covers the gap between the wall and the projecting edge of the roofline which are often called the eaves

Guttering

Guttering is the most familiar part of the roofline and is the system that encircles the house and brings water to the downpipes that send it to the drainage system. Problems with the roofline can have a serious impact on the weatherproofing of the house. All can deteriorate over time, so it is worth having them inspected regularly along with the roof to make sure they are in good condition and doing their job.
