Accreditations
Did you know Balhousie is accredited as a ‘Which? Trusted Trader’ (WTT) business?

This endorsement is not easily earned. Every approved business must pass a rigorous, independent assessment process carried out by the Which? team.
To achieve Trusted Trader status, Balhousie underwent:
- A full credit check to confirm the financial health and long-term stability of the business.
- Customer reference checks, selected at random by the WTT endorsement team, ensuring genuine feedback from a broad mix of homeowners.
- An in-depth review of our business practices, including administrative processes, customer service procedures, and day-to-day operations.
- Agreement to the WTT Code of Conduct and Which? Terms & Conditions. A formal commitment to delivering fairness, transparency, and exceptional service.
Only traders who successfully meet the Which? standards can become endorsed, meaning not just anyone can gain accreditation.
Annual Reassessment
A Which? endorsement lasts for 12 months. Each year, Balhousie must undergo the assessment process again. This ensures we continue to operate at the highest level and never allow our standards to slip. For our customers, this means consistent quality, year after year.
Award-Winning Recognition
In February 2025, Balhousie was honoured to be named Which? Trusted Trader of the Month. We repeated this feat in March 2026.
This award recognises outstanding commitment to customers, staff, and industry professionalism, and we are incredibly proud to have earned it.
Our Experience at the 2025 Which? Awards
In 2025, we had the privilege of attending the prestigious Which? Awards, a standout moment for our team. We were proud to be:
- The only double glazing company in the UK invited, and
- One of only two Scottish businesses to attend the ceremony.
For a local, independently run company like ours, this recognition means a great deal. It reinforces our ongoing commitment to customer care, high-quality products, and reliable service.
We’d like to extend our thanks to our dedicated team for their hard work, and to our customers for continuing to place their trust in Balhousie for their home improvements.

Better Business Partnership
The Better Business Partnership (BBP) is the trusted trader scheme operating in Perth and Kinross. The aim is to help traders comply with the law while improving consumer protection through a partnership approach.

It is often difficult for consumers to know whether they are dealing with reputable tradesmen or the small proportion of rogue traders. Concerns are also raised about bogus traders and unscrupulous callers who, after carrying out less than satisfactory work, disappear, leaving a mobile phone number as the only contact. In an attempt to address these particular problems, the Trading Standards service of Perth & Kinross Council and D Division of Police Scotland created the Better Business Partnership.
Scotland Trusted Trader
Scotland Trusted Trader is a scheme supported by Trading Standards, designed to help consumers find reputable, vetted, and trustworthy local businesses. Every member is thoroughly assessed for customer service, trading practices, and transparency, so you can have complete confidence in who you're dealing with. Each review is verified, helping you make informed decisions.

British Standards
