Garage Window Conversion
Our customer in Balerno wanted to replace a very small window in their integral garage with a PVC residential door giving them access to the garden and drive without having to use the front door - handy for dealing with dirty shoes and wet dogs!
Replacing an existing window with a door is a fairly straightforward job for a professional builder/joiner as windows are never built into load-bearing walls as they can't bear weight. A window marks a safe non-load-bearing location where the door can go and also creates a convenient existing hole through the siding, insulation, and drywall. This significantly reduces the amount of material that needs to be cut away.
The door installed for our customer is a white PVC Residential with Kirkley panel finished off with Bullseye glass.
